BLUE NOTE EXPERIENCE - NYC

Uma das minhas paixões é o Jazz...adoro todos os elementos, o piano, trompete, contrabaixo, clarinete, saxofone...enfim tudo. Desde o instrumental, ao cantado, ao funk, mais moderno, free jazz ou com toques de bossa nova, é a musica que me deixa feliz, que me invade e que me alegra a alma!

Ir ao Blue Note já estava na minha "bucket list":

Viagem a Nova York, ouvir Jazz no Blue Note, na melhor companhia do mundo e a acompanhar tudo com um copo de vinho tinto...a combinação perfeita!

E assim foi, não consegui conter e emocionei-me...TEARS OF JOY!!!

One of my passions is Jazz ... I love all the elements, the piano, trumpet, double bass, clarinet, saxophone ... everything. From the instrumental, singing, funk, modern, free jazz to bossa nova that´s  the music that makes me happy and gets in to my soul! 
Going to the Blue Note as always been on my "bucket list":
Trip to New York, listening to jazz at Blue Note, with my husband and a glass of red wine ... the perfect combination, right?
And so it was, I was thrilled that I even cried...TEARS OF JOY !!!

Eu amo o Met Gala... mais do que os Oscars!!!

O Costume Institute Gala (Met Gala ou também conhecido como Met Ball), é um baile anual para a angariação de fundos em beneficio do Metropolitan Museum of Art´s Costume Institute em Nova York, e também a inauguração da exposição anual de moda do Costume Institute.

Envolve decoração, jantar, festa, exposição, diferentes pessoas desde da moda, musica, cinema, artes, empreendedores etc., num dos melhores museus do mundo.

Este ano o tema é sobre China: Through the Looking Glass e a exposição estará aberta ao publico desde 7 de Maio a 16 de agosto de 2015.

Em 2012 tive a oportunidade de ver uma dessas exposições, nomeadamente,  Shiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations, e foi, sem sombra de duvida, das melhores exposições em que já estive!!! Desde os cenários, roupas, tecnologia, interacção, organização, curadoria, catalogo...se por acaso estiverem por perto não percam!!!

I love the Met Gala ... more than the Oscars !!!

The Costume Institute Gala( also known as Met Ball ou Met Gala), is the annual fundraising ball for The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York, and also the opening of the annual exhibition of the fashion Costume Institute.

It involves decoration, dinner, party, exhibition, different people from fashion, music, cinema, arts, entrepreneurs etc., in one of the best museums in the whole world.

This year's theme is about China: Through the Looking Glass and the exhibition will be open to the public from May 7 to August 16, 2015.

In 2012 I had the opportunity to see one of these exhibitions,  Shiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations, and it was one of the best exhibition I've ever been, from the scenarios, clothing, technology, interaction, organization, curation, catalog... 

If you are around do not miss it!!!

BOOM BOOM ROOM - NYC

Bathroom with a view - The best view ever

Alguns já devem ter ouvido falar, outros devem ter visto em alguns livros de design, 

outros não tem ideia do que é o BOOM BOOM ROOM.

É o “the skybar” em Nova York! Fica no ultimo andar do The Standard High Line Hotel, 

no meatpacking district. 

Uma area muito animada cheia de restaurantes óptimos, lojas giras e alguns artistas!

A decoração é meio futurista, vintage, cheia de pormenores aconchegantes como sofás embutidos em paredes, lareira, banquetas, num ambiente muito requintado com muitos dourados e tons pêssego/nude.

Considerado um dos melhores roof tops do mundo, deixou-me literalmente de boa aberta! Surpreendente, elegante e com a melhor vista de sempre (até na casa de banho!).

Some of you must have heard of it, others must have seen it in some design books,

others have no idea what is the BOOM BOOM ROOM.

It is "the Skybar" in New York! It is on the top floor of The Standard, High Line Hotel,

in the meatpacking district.

A very fun area full of nice restaurants, shops and some cool artists!

The decor is kind of futuristic, vintage, cozy with a lot of comfortable details such as built-in sofas, fireplace, benches, in a very refined environment with a lot of golden details and peach/nude color .

Considered one of the best roof tops in the world, I just felt amazed! Sophisticated, elegant, 

with the best view ever (even in the bathroom!).

David Burtka e Neil Patrick Harris são actores, casados e pais de gémeos de 4 anos de idade,

Gideon e Harper e ainda donos de 2 cães.

Em 2014 mudaram-se de Los Angeles para Nova York. Compraram uma moradia do final do século XIX, com cinco pisos, perto da Universidade de Columbia, no Harlem. (...sempre adorei a arquitectura do Harlem!)

A decoração esteve a cargo do designer de interiores Lehnhoff e do arquiteto Jeffery Povero, toda a obra demorou 14 meses.

O Objectivo principal do projecto foi o convívio entre a família e amigos, mas também, expor toda a arte que forram as paredes desta moradia.

Pessoalmente acho que esta casa é confortável, vintage, varias peças de colecção

e acima de tudo vivida!

David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris are actors, married and parents of twins 4 years old,

Gideon and Harper and they have two dogs.

In 2014 they moved from Los Angeles to New York. They bought a house from the end of the nineteenth century, with five floors, near to Columbia University in Harlem. (... always loved the architecture of Harlem!)

The decor was in charge of the Lehnhoff interior designer and the architect Jeffery Povero, all the works took 14 months.

The main objective of the project was the interaction between family and friends, but also to expose all the art that line the walls of this house.

I personally think this house is comfortable, vintage, with a lot of nice details and above all you can see it´s a home!
